Santiago From my study progrma´s point of view

Sociology is a social science thet talks about the social structure  of society. In Chile , society is marked by a great inequality between social classes. This can be seen throught the different communes of santiago , that is why for the presentation we chose two communes : Las Condes and Cerro Navia.

Las condes is a commune that 's located east of santiago and represents the commerial financial, and tourist axis a large presence of green areas , high levels of urbanization , and high police presence.


While Cerro Navia is a located west of Santiago and was found in 1981. It is Characterized by and absence of  green areas a great overcrowding in housing and by less  concer on the part of the muncicipality to maintain the cleanliness of the comunne.

Hi everyone! today I´m going to talk about my career, Sociology. In the first place, I need say that I chose Sociology because I thought Sociology would help me to I understand the people and I wanted to know what the people thought. Mainly, I wanted to know about the people thought about the politic, or characters of Chilean politics. I knew that Sociology could give me the methodological tools to conduct surveys and analyze them, to finally know what people on different topics.  I honest that´s what I liked the most, at first. My future job

Hi everyone today I´m going to talk about my future job. I´m studying sociology and I would like to have a job related to public policy. I would like to carry out social policies that could have positive effects for the Chilean population. Also in my future job I would like to conduct research where I could show people social problems such as violence against women, child vulnerability, and poverty in Chile. In addition, I would like to travel thought Chile to solve social problems that affect the regions, and also I can know other places in my country. Further I want to have a job where I can travel and know places, and also where I can meet people. I would like to have a job schedule where I can go out and I do other activities. I like to read a lot so I would like to have a job where I need to read a lot, I would also like a job where I don´t have to be locked in an office all the time. How to be "Team Human" in the digital future

Hi everyone! now I´m going to talk about of the video we saw in the class. To begin, in the video we saw to Douglas Rushkoff that he spoke about the human future in relation to technological development and the digital age. Also he said that technology is at the service of the market, because it serves to generate information and influence the decisions of the people. The caught my attention, because my career (Sociology) helps to generate that information about people and their interests, and I would not like my career to serve for the objectives of capitalism.  Also in the video Douglas Rushkoff spoke the technology makes us more individualistic, that social networks are separating us and that education makes us more competitive. I Think those are the main ideas of Douglas Rushkoff.
